Hello, I’m Eri.
I’ve been a Notion creator for three years, and I go through seasons of activity over those past years, but I’ve been the most active in the last few months.
The ethos behind my work and account, Living Systems, is that I design Notion systems that adapt to my way of life — not the other way around. Because of this, I have the habit of documenting what I do meticulously so other people can see the context of my work and understand how they can apply it to their own.
So in a way, this documentation is a reflection of that method.
In the three years I’ve been an active creator, I was able to build a following of close to 10,000 **on Threads and just above 1,700 active e-mail subscribers.
I’m sharing this to show you the context that I operated in. I have a small following and people who recognized my work and would rally behind me, but I still struggled through this process.
I don’t usually post things like this publicly, but after being told my case was “inconclusive” the first time I reached out to the support team, I thought it was worth sharing the timeline, documentation, and insights for people who may have similar grievances.
A lot of Notion creators, with varying audiences, have reached out to me when I shared my initial post, and as someone who is used to documenting my work, I found it valuable to do the same thing for a pressing problem that a lot of creators experience in this space.
The goal of this documentation is to build a reliable and real reference for creators who may not be as connected or who may not have the same digital presence as I do by consequence of preference or circumstance.
I discovered someone copying the system behind one of my templates by pure coincidence. I was trying to check if my template would show up first in a Google search — and just like that, I saw something that was far too similar in writing to mine.
I write my workflows organically, so I would recognize what the language looks like — even when it's run through an LLM. I am a copywriter who also uses the same technology in my work, so the patterns are recognizable.
